    Nass- oder Trockenfutter, was ist besser?

    Beides hat seine Stärken. Nassfutter bringt viel Feuchtigkeit mit, das kommt trinkfaulen Hunden zugute und macht bei weniger Kaloriendichte satt. Trockenfutter ist ergiebiger und praktischer für unterwegs. Viele Hunde fahren mit einer Kombination aus beidem am besten.

    Kann ich Nass- und Trockenfutter mischen?

    Ja, das ist völlig in Ordnung und bei vielen Hunden beliebt. Behalte nur die Gesamtmenge im Blick, damit dein Hund nicht mehr Kalorien bekommt als er braucht. Als Faustregel: Gibst du die Hälfte der Tagesration als Nassfutter, reduzierst du das Trockenfutter entsprechend.

    Wie lange hält geöffnetes Nassfutter?

    Eine geöffnete Dose oder Schale hält im Kühlschrank abgedeckt etwa ein bis zwei Tage. Nimm sie rechtzeitig heraus, damit das Futter Zimmertemperatur hat. Direkt aus dem Kühlschrank mögen es die wenigsten Hunde, und kalt liegt es schwerer im Magen.
